St Marys Drama group began in April 2019. Some members of the congragation were trying to think of ways to raise much needed funds for the church and they came upo with the idea of staging a Passion play. This was such a success that it left the cast and the audience wanting more.
So, the following year we chose the play Sacred Spaces and were in rehearsal when COVID forced us to abandon the preformance.
By 2022 the cast were still enthusiastic and wanted to continue with the fund raisingdrams, so the comedy Melons at the Parsonage was presented. This was followed in suceeding years by Sandcastles and Breath of Spring.
In addition to our annual plays in the church we have also taken two of the plays to preform at the Arundal Festival.
All of the profits from the plays goes to the hepl with the upkeep of St Marys Church
